Best for dining in (with wine + cocktails)
Övn
Övn in Fairhaven, WA, fires their pizzas in a wood stove crafted in Naples, Italy. The Neapolitan-style pizzas are perfect if you’re looking for something that isn’t overly filling and bready but packs a lot of flavor. The classic Margherita pizza is their number-one seller. Like most of their pies, it’s made with local mozzarella and crushed tomatoes (rather than tomato sauce), and the dough flour is shipped straight from Naples. The vegan pizza, the Lanterna, is made with vegan mozzarella and a basil-pistachio pesto base, topped with olive oil, artichokes, and cherry tomatoes. If you’re dining in the cozy, industrial-chic space, you can order spirit-forward craft cocktails, or wines from around the PNW.
Storia Cucina
One of the top-rated restaurants in Bellingham, WA, Storia Cucina is a design-forward Italian spot that serves pizza in addition to pastas, antipasti, and vegetable contorni (side dishes). But let’s focus on the pizza: Crusts are made with a 1971 sourdough starter and fresh or hand-stretched mozzarella. Topping combinations are simple and flavorful, and most pizzas are made with just three or four ingredients. They also have a vegan pie made with San Marzano tomato, garlic, basil, and oregano. Pair your pizza with one of their classic and seasonal cocktails. Check out their sister bar, Bar Cicotti, for Italy-inspired sandwiches and flatbreads, carefully plated hors d'oeuvres, and local and international wines.
Fiamma Pizza
Fiamma Pizza, from the people who brought you Fiamma Burger, has options for meat-eaters, pescatarians, and vegetarians. Stand-out menu items include the Burrata and Hot Honey and the Pizza Diablo, made with spicy tomato sauce, mozzarella, hot pickled cherry peppers, and house-made Italian fennel sausage. They also have a few pasta dishes, shareable salads, soups, and antipasti. Their takeout window, Pye Hole, sells pizza by the slice. On the cocktail menu you’ll find inventive spirit combinations, like the Hammerhead Cold Brew (espresso from Hammerhead Coffee Roasters, vodka, and orange cocoa); and zero-proof cocktails, like the Most Wanted (coconut, tamarind, lime, sasparilla, and fresh mint).
Mambo Italiano Cafe
Mambo Italiano in Fairhaven recently installed a fire deck oven and added more than 16 pies to their menu. Pizzas are made with either housemade dough or a gluten-free crust. Try the Shorty’s Bar, a pesto-based pizza topped with mozzarella and goat cheese, chicken, red pepper, and fresh tomato. This full-service Italian eatery in the historic Mason Block building in Fairhaven also serves pastas, seafood, and more, plus wine and craft cocktails.

Wash it down with one of the 17-plus rotating ales on tap.

Their signature pan pizzas are made with a cheese-filled crust and have island-inspired names like the Big Kahuna and the Maui Wowie. They serve bottled and draft beers from their tiki-inspired bar.
Elizabeth Station
Elizabeth Station is a lot of things: a taproom, a hand-selected bottle shop, a pizzeria, and (we can’t help but steal this apt description from their website) “What a 7-Eleven would be like if there was one in the Shire.” Their Neapolitan-style pizzas are available daily from 12–9 p.m. and are made with high-quality ingredients. As toppings are locally sourced and subject to change by the season, here’s a sample of the type of pies you can expect: Corey’s Asparagus, made with white sauce and fontina and topped with asparagus from Good Market, red onion, a drizzle of Chimichurri, parsley, and pecorino; and the Wise Guy, made with tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella and topped with Italian sausage, Lil’s Hot Peppers, artichoke, red onion, parsley, and pecorino.
Pizza on wheels
Tam Tam Pizza
Tam Tam is a mobile pizzeria that brings the pizza party to you. If you’re not planning a party, you can find them parked outside of local Bellingham spots like FrinGe Brewing, the Bellingham Farmers Market and Dockside Market, and Lost Giants Cider Co. They use a restaurant-grade Gozney outdoor pizza oven for delightfully blistered pies, and top them with rich and delicate ingredients. Toppings rotate and often include locally sourced veggies and even seafood. Try innovative pies like the Potato Prosciutto made with heavy cream, dill, and Scamorza (a traditional Italian cheese).

They offer draught cocktails (old-fashioneds and negronis), local beer on tap, bottles of Miller High Life ponies, and cans of Athletic (non-alcoholic beer).
Natalino’s
Yes, it’s a pizza place at the mall food court, but Natalino’s fills the hole left by the absence of Sbarros and has been warmly received by locals for their friendly service. Natalino’s serves fresh, Roman-style pizza and salads at affordable prices ($6 for a slice, $9 for a half pie, $20 for a whole pie). Their signature is the Montara, made with tomato sauce, mozzarella, mushrooms, Italian sausage, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, truffle sauce, parmigiano reggiano, and basil.
